And now, just three years later, Faith Evans and Stevie J. love story is coming to an end.

The former Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star filed for divorce on Monday in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

The news of their marriage came as a shock, and the union was characterized by tragedy.

Just a year later, the R&B singer – who was once married to the late rapper Notorious BIG – was arrested on charges of domestic violence after assaulting her husband.

She was also married to Todd Russaw from 1998 to 2011.

Neither has commented publicly and Faith wished her husband a happy birthday on Instagram last week.
