Actress Sai Pallavi, in her latest Instagram post, shared adorable photos with her grandparents on her grandfather’s 85th birthday. She captioned the pictures “roots”.
Sharing the photos, she wrote “roots” and Thatha is 85th.
The photos show Sai Pallavi leaning on his grandfather’s shoulder and smiling happily. There is also a photo with his grandmother and sister. Actors Sanya Malhotra and Raashii Khanna dropped their comments on the post.
On the career side, Sai Pallavi is currently awaiting the release of two Telugu films – Love Story and Virataparvam.
In Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story, Sai Pallavi plays a girl from Telangana who falls in love with a boy who has returned from the United States. Naga Chaitanya plays the main male role.
In Virataparvam, she plays a Naxalite in the film directed by Venu Udugala, which also stars Rana Daggubati, Priyamani and Nandita Das.
In the film, the character of Sai Pallavi is apparently inspired by Belli Lalitha, who was a popular singer turned activist. She played a crucial role in the struggle for statehood in the Telangana region in the early 1990s. She was kidnapped and killed in 1999.

Virataparvam sheds light on the Naxal movement, especially the moral dilemma that has prevailed over the past decade.
Sai Pallavi is also reportedly featured in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film, which is a Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. She is believed to play Pawan Kalyan’s wife in the film.
Sai Pallavi will reunite with Dhanush for the second time in an upcoming trilingual film with director Sekhar Kammula.
