The film is finally set to hit theaters on April 1, which was delayed by nearly two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, originally scheduled for July 10, 2020.

Morbius follows Marvel Comics character Dr. Michael Morbius as he attempts to cure himself of a rare blood disease from which he is dying.

The film also stars Adria Arjona, Tyrese Gibson, Matt Smith and Al Madrigal, with Daniel Espinosa directing from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

Morbius is the only major theatrical release on April 1, with early box office projections putting the opening weekend between $40 million and $60 million.

Morbius also connects to Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, with Michael Keaton reprising his role from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming as Adrian Toomes, aka Vulture.
