Eurovision viewers think Lewis Capaldi had an impersonated song in the form of Germany’s entrance

Eurovision viewers believe Lewis Capaldi had a similar song in the form of Germany’s entry and they urged Lewis to take further action against the alleged impersonator.

As Sam Ryder took the second-place win over Ukraine, fans of the song contest couldn’t help but compare the German entry to one of Lewis’ most famous songs.

German musician Malik Harris gave a sensational Rockstars performance at the European music event and even had a secret message of peace for Ukraine on the back of his guitar, but that didn’t stop viewers, including Pointless presenter and comedian Richard Osman, to compare the song to Lewis’ smash hit, Someone You Loved.

Richard noted: “Lewis Capaldi’s lawyers are rubbing their hands here #Germany #Eurovision”

Another added: ‘Anyone else think the start of Germany coming in like Lewis Capaldi’s ‘someone you loved’?

Someone else noted though: “Love how all the older comedians tweet that Germany was like Lewis Capaldi/Ed Sheeran and all the younger ones know it’s Twenty One Pilots #SBSEurovision # Eurovision”

But someone else agreed with Richard, saying: “If you’re sad like us and you’re watching Eurovision – Question… Wasn’t the song from Germany a complete rip-off of “I was kinda getting used to being someone you liked” by Lewis Capaldi??!!”

Others piled in, saying, “I liked the song but I think Lewis Capaldi might deserve a credit!”

And a few thought it looked like a mix between Lewis and Eminem, with one saying: “Who knew if @LewisCapaldi and #Eminem had a baby he would represent #Germany at #Eurovision !!!”

And someone else agreed, saying: “Germany was like a YouTube cover of a Lewis Capaldi song with an under-Eminem naff rap thrown into #Eurovision

Another joked: “Hi Germany, this is @LewisCapaldi on the phone, he would like his songs back.”
