10 greatest glam metal videos of all time

German glam rock veterans Kissin’ Dynamite have been raging for 20 years and their seventh album, Not the end of the road, is out now. As modern as they sound, who can resist the nostalgia? That’s why we invited guitarist Jim Müller to break down his 10 best glam metal videos of all time.

Kissin’ Dynamite was originally formed in 2002 and six years later they released their debut album, Swabian steel. Since then, every album has landed on the German entertainment charts and the band has increasingly strengthened its hold not only in its home country, but elsewhere in the world.

They keep the momentum going Not the end of the roadand you can watch the music video for the anthemic single “Coming Home” directly below before browsing through glamorous videos both old and new(ish).

Follow Kissin’ Dynamite on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Spotify. Get your copy of ‘Not the End of the Road’ out on Napalm Records, here.

Kissin’ Dynamite, “Coming Home” Music Video

  • Motley Crue, “Girls, Girls, Girls”

It’s hard to decide which Mötley video is the best, but I think “Girls, Girls, Girls” sums it all up perfectly. Motorcycles, ladies, lots of hairspray – you get it.

  • Ghost, “Rats”

I love this band and their videos. It always feels like Alice Cooper has taken a trip back in time from the 70s to the present day. Saw them at Wacken 2019, kicked ass.

  • Steel Panther, “Community Property”

As Steel Panther released their debut album, the whole band was excited! That was when we thought we were the badass dudes, living the Sunset Strip life at a metal nightclub called Rockfrabrik in Ludwigsburg, Germany, wearing animal print leggings and all that! Goes from great to terrible memories, haha!

  • Skid Row, “Youth Gone Wild”

Sebastian Bach has one of the bitchiest voices around! This track is also a hymn to our crazy “take me back to the 80s” era.

  • Danger Danger, “I’m Always Thinking Of You”

A classic emotional, mostly black and white touring video from the underrated band Danger Danger. I just love the vibe of this video.

  • Ratt, “Body Talk”

So there are tons of videos of 80s music performances on big stages with lots of lights in an empty arena, but this one is my favorite. It’s so funny to go through these videos which are almost all the same, like it was state of the art at the time.

  • Alice Cooper, “House of Fire”

My favorite Cooper track and also a very nice video! I’ve never seen him perform this song live, except once opening for the show “Rock Meets Classic” – EPIC!

  • Black Rain, “Overloaded”

We first met Black Rain when we opened for them and Crashdiet in 2011 in Paris — what a glam rock night it was! Just the last tour we did before the “evil C” hit us, we were touring together through Europe and it was fantastic!

  • David Lee Roth, “Yankee Pink”

This one is definitely a must when it comes to crazy glamorous 80s videos. You can’t stop watching even if your eyes hurt.

  • Guns N’ Roses, “November Rain”

I think this one needs no explanation. Kings of sleaze rock with one of the greatest videos of all time in any genre.
